Phoenix Coyotes Future Still In Limbo

The final verdict is still out on the Coyotes future in Phoenix. However, some positive steps were taken on Tuesday night when the Glendale city council passed a vote to guarantees the league $25 million to keep the team. How this pans out still remains to be seen.
The fact that it is taking so long to figure out this deal makes it that much harder to save the team in Glendale. The NHL is worried about staying true to their fans, but wants someone else to shoulder the burden of the financial loss. Jim Balsillie’s offer last year was probably one of the better financial offers the league could have taken. Instead, the NHL blocked the move and is still stuck with the situation.
Who Thought It Would Get To This?
Game seven between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Montreal Canadiens was a highly unlikely betting situation at the beginning of the playoffs. Yet, here we are. Was it the incredible efforts of the Montreal Canadiens? Or was it simply poor play by the Capitals and the Penguins, who allowed it to get this far? It is definitely a little bit of both. Michael Cammalleri and Halak continue to shine, while Ovechkin, Semin, Crosby, and Malkin struggled to find that superstar gear. NHL betting odds are once again favoring the Stanley Cup champions to win it in the seventh game. The Canadiens will desperately try to prove them wrong once again.
Can The Flyers Do It? Without Boucher?
The Flyers have somehow managed to win two in a row after dropping the first three games of the series. Things looked promising for them to try and become only the third team in NHL history to overcome a three to nothing series deficit. Those efforts were dealt a serious blow when they lost Brian Boucher to injury in game five. It is highly unlikely that they will win the series, but valiant effort nonetheless.
